I have groomed my dogs for over 10 yrsOf all the clippers I have purchased I have never had one that caused red raw areas and pulls the hair, I stopped as soon as I realized by the reaction from my dog, he has never reacted like this and I do his hair frequently, it also is not quiet the noise bothered him as well, I will be sending this set back, the paw clippers were also not cutting but seemed to pull the hair, it has no way to adjust the head so you either use the close setting or a comb that comes with, I use the close setting on my other clippers without a problem, I bought these for the paw clippers, this just wont work for my dogs, sorry to say.
