I've had privacy filters on previous phones and was hoping they would be better this time. The latter, however, made it easy for curious eyes to see everything. I have to say that this is a big improvement over those made in the past. I was a bit worried about the screen's darkness if it wasted my battery time having to turn on the backlight, but I'm happy to report that I only had to crank up the brightness a little - much less than I was expecting . When I saw how dark it was, the protection was out of the box. Battery life is just great and privacy has improved a lot. I love that I also covered the entire screen except for the speaker cutout. Previous protectors had to cut out the top where the camera and sensor were, but the iPhone 12 appears to be able to sidestep any shadow the protector offers. It's also thin enough that I can use the Pelican case, which basically seals the entire front while sitting on the tread, so there's no chance of the corners lifting or the edges ripping like I've had on previous ones had protectors. Will I recommend it? Yes. Would I buy it as a gift? Yes. would i get it again Absolutely.
