Review on 🐠 QUANS Blacklight Fishing Aquarium Waterproof: Illuminating Underwater Adventure by Myron Brooks

Excellent for screen exposure, poor build quality

(Full disclosure: I'm a professional lighting designer so I'm approaching this from the perspective of working with top notch equipment.) I bought this to expose emulsion on printing screens and it lights brilliantly for the task. My exposure time is 40 seconds with the device 18 inches from the screen. However, the processing quality leaves a lot to be desired. I wish there were handles on the clamp of the mount (the "fork" that holds it) so you can easily tighten and loosen the mount's tilt. It comes with screws that you need a tool to adjust. The biggest problem you see in my photo is that the clamp itself is made of such soft and thin metal that it sags and twists under the weight of the mount. I'm not sure I would dare to hang that over people's heads like in a theater or a concert. If you just want to burn screen or cure resin, this works great.

Pros
  • For highlighting most reactive white pigments, paints and dyes and many glow-in-the-dark special effects products.
Cons
  • Crumpled
