I installed this on a 201 Ford F150 2wd. I'm a mechanical engineer and I'm pretty good at installing things like this. First, the instructions were a C note at best. Before you start installing it in your car, there is a lot to collect. I've already had experience with setting up tripods. I knew what I was doing and it was still hard for me to line up all those little screws. The package contains LOTS of extra parts that are never mentioned in the instructions. For a 2015-2017 Ford F150 you MUST cut the carpet in two places. This is because the carpet padding is very thick. If the carpet is not cut, the mount will not fully screw in and will vibrate when driven. The assembly post should be closer to the Central Consul. Look at the picture how far it protrudes into the passenger seat. These photos show the CLOSEST place where you can get a RAM mount to the Central Consul. I would return it to Amazon but I don't feel like taking it apart and reinstalling a different mount. Instead I gave it two stars for just one because the bracket that bolts to the floor had holes that lined up perfectly with the passenger seat mounting holes. The extension should have been longer. This attachment hides the cup holders, making them unsuitable for storing drinks.
