Good hair for creating or building curls and much cheaper than buying from your local makeup store. I bought 2 packs (4 small packs per pack) of #6 chestnut color to add about 3 inches to my already mature 3 year old locks. I only used 3 1/2 packs (for reference I have 283 small loci) so I will be returning the unopened pack. I bought this color knowing I would dye it because this color had a quicker delivery time compared to the darker color I really wanted and the hair took the color really well. No, this hair is not very soft, but Afro Curly Hair is not normally very soft, however, it will soften over time after washing, moisturizing and daily wear. The last picture shows the hair at the end of my curl after coloring (post build-in) with dark brown dye. I definitely recommend this hair for local extensions.
