I received this wallet today and here are my first thoughts; spacious - more than it seems in the photos. You can easily accommodate a small laptop, magazine, large water bottle, etc. I literally read all 20 reviews a few times before purchasing and the smell that several people have mentioned is definitely there. The best way to describe a smell is to compare it to a smelly thrift store. That's the thought that prompted me. I smell leather too, so it's a mix of both. I suppose with use and exercise, objects introduced etc. the musty smell will dissipate and all I will feel is skin. The colors are ok, mostly warm tones which is good and you can see a small bit of canvas like fabric in certain places where all the leather parts are attached but as this is a boho bag that's ok too . Some leather loops shine, some don't. The wallet seems sturdy enough, the zipper opens and closes very easily. Both straps are removable, or you can of course keep both. At the moment I'm using the supplied ones on both sides of the wallet. Overall, I like the look, size, and style, but it might not be for everyone, especially if you prefer smaller or more traditional wallets. I would like to add that it is a bit stiff but being real cowhide leather I would expect it to soften over time. If the musty smell doesn't go away after a week or so I'll definitely update my review as I understand some people are more sensitive to smells than others and returning things is never fun. I hope this will be helpful to those considering buying this wallet. Update: A week later I sent this bag back. The smell lingered and it was more spacious than I needed.
