I wish they could get this thing right. I bought the coffee maker after being very impressed with my friend's model. When it works, it works great. In fact, my first vacuum jug that came with the coffee maker lasted about 3 1/2 years. Then one day the vacuum seal seems to have been broken. It doesn't keep the coffee hot anymore. I was a little unnerved by the number of reviewers who had the same issue, sometimes in just a few months, but I liked the coffee maker so I spent another $50 or so on it. replacement decanter. With a hissing sound this morning, just 7 days after the 90 day guarantee expired, the vacuum seal broke and now I have another unusable carafe. Well, not entirely useless. He still makes and stores coffee. It just doesn't keep it as hot as it should, and that's the whole point. I really wish Cuisinart would improve their quality control because if this doesn't break I'd give it five stars. However, after going through 2 of them, it seems like it's time to throw good money after bad.
