I bought 3 tablets this year to help a poor family prepare for online education in the Dominican Republic. Upon review, I was impressed by how much you get for so little money. It's an Android 10 tablet that's so easy to set up, especially once you've set up your phone. The tablet is well made and fits securely in the hand. The back design provides a good grip and reduces the chance of the tablet slipping out of your hands. This tablet isn't just a toy, it's a standard tablet that can be customized for use by young children by activating software that gives parents the ability to manage the usage time in each session as well as the content children can see , to control. However, adding this software and some apps for kids like little pianist and learning animals is the only difference between this tablet and the "standard", which also makes it a good choice for high school students or even adults who are looking a cheap tablet. The kit includes a small stand that makes using the tablet easier. Simply drag your foot to create a 3-point platform, then install the tablet on the 2 rubberized brackets. The tablet has 25.91GB of available storage space, but this can be easily added with a mini SD card up to 128GB. Good SD cards are now available at a very reasonable price so you can use 128GB just as well as I did with the 3 I bought for my friends. A USB-to-Micro-USB charging cable is included, as is a power adapter. Just plug the cord into the adapter and the adapter into a power outlet and you're good to go. The cable is standard and if lost or a second cable is needed, just use any USB to Micro USB cable. There is no need to order it from the company, as the instruction manual recommends. The user manual states that you need to charge the first 3 times for at least 6 hours each time, but before charging, check the charge on the tablet when you take it out of the box. I did this and found mine was already 97% charged. If I plugged it in as recommended and left it for 6 hours I would most likely destroy the battery before using it once. First, set up your tablet with the correct date and time, desired language, WiFi, etc., just like you would with a phone. And if you're a parent who wants to limit usage and control the content your child sees, do that too. Pre-installed apps for all users include Chrome for browser, Gmail for email, Google, Play Store, Calendar, etc. The same pack of Google-related apps that comes pre-installed on all Android phones and tablets. It comes with an instruction manual and is pretty well done. The illustrations are serviceable and so is the text, but the font of the text is a bit smaller than I would have liked for my older eyes. For the price that has been set for this tablet, I have no problem recommending it. The tablet can be customized for use by young children with parental controls that can be ignored by older students and adults who no longer need them. Good apps to download on your tablet either from playstore or app websites. Examples of many free apps are PBS Kids Video for kids under 8, Brain Pop for kids 9-12, Khan Academy for kids under 5, Endless Alphabet for kids under 8, Moose Math for kids under 8, Artie's world. for children aged 3 to 6 years and Roblox for children aged 7 and over. Cheap paid apps and free apps are also available if you want to introduce your child to a foreign language like Spanish. I really wish this tablet and all the great apps were available when my kids were little. programs are kid-friendly is a good reason to install an SD card so you have enough storage space.
