Hard on blues, extra lighting can be useful

This lamp seems good to help photosynthesis (plants and algae) but if you just want to visually assess what If you have an aquarium in your aquarium, you may need additional lighting. The fixture is dominated by blue emitters, although there are red, orange, white, purple, and green LEDs. Remember that the colors you see are the result of 1). Redirecting light that falls on an object (such as color reflection or refraction) into your eyeball, or 2). Light emission (e.g. as a result of fluorescence or luminescence). For freshwater aquariums, redirecting the incoming light is the primary means of what you see, with the exception of fluorescent objects like Glo fish. If you have a planted aquarium, remember that photosynthetic pigments strongly absorb blue and red colors. As a result, plants will look dull under predominantly blue and red light as this device emits mainly blue light. To see bright green foliage you also need some green light to allow the leaves to reflect that color to your eyes - this is where the HME light seems underpowered - or at least not balanced with its ability to produce intense blue - and where is the extra lighting can be helpful. If you have fish that are yellow or orange you may need additional lights (one that illuminates the fish the color they are naturally). This light is likely to work well with fluorescent fish (e.g. Glo fish) as their coloration is highly dependent on fluorescence, which is well excited by shorter wavelengths of light. Programming this fixture is very flexible, albeit cumbersome once you're in the Advanced section. I think the most important thing about editing a program is that you create settings on your phone where you can edit and save programs. But to do what you have programmed, remember to download it to the device after saving it.
