Good but not the best for fish and aquatic animals

I had an older model with moonlight function and it was nice. Although programming is difficult. This one is simpler but doesn't do all the cool stuff like the old model. Fewer opportunities to program through the application. I hope they update the app so I can do more things with lighting and timing.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Great new light from Edge

I have used many wifi aquarium products but not all have worked as well. The new Edge wireless aquarium light impressed me with its easy setup and flawless phone app. In easy mode I programmed the light for my freshwater aquarium in 2 minutes. Most swordtails come from Mexico or its surroundings. I used the Caribbean setting. Actually right the first time. The light is more durable than the Edge in the past but made waterproof. You need this light for the shine it brings to your hobby.

Pros
  • handy
Cons
  • not trendy

I really like the lights, it can be cumbersome to use

I switched from standard NICREW timed LED bulbs to these and I have to say my plants have exploded. I cut and trim like crazy. The general lighting in the aquarium is more natural. However, the app has a few bugs that make it difficult to use. It often crashes (I have Android) when I try to update the lamp's firmware. The time zone page for the lighting graph is also buggy. When I click on one place, another appears. For example, click North America and the Mediterranean appears.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • The list will be long.

Unexpectedly disappointed!

I "upgraded" to this light from a previous Edge LED model with the hope that this light will exceed my expectations, just like the previous model has done for the last 5 years. Unfortunately I'm sending it back after a day of use. The brightness is noticeably brighter than the old model, and the flash and cloud features are fun. I've also enjoyed overclocking, but that's about all I like in that light. The 24/7 programmed settings are limited to marine locations, although it is a freshwater…

Not programmed as described.

I was excited and couldn't wait to get this new LED light for my aquarium, but it soon turned into disappointment and frustration. After installing the backlight on my 75 gallon tank and the app on my Note 10, I quickly realized that the light can be good, but the app that controls it is a piece of crap and makes use of the light useless. First, the pre-programmed options are good, but only if you have a saltwater setup. There is no fresh water abstraction here, as in Lake Malawi or, for…

Hard on blues, extra lighting can be useful

This lamp seems good to help photosynthesis (plants and algae) but if you just want to visually assess what If you have an aquarium in your aquarium, you may need additional lighting. The fixture is dominated by blue emitters, although there are red, orange, white, purple, and green LEDs. Remember that the colors you see are the result of 1). Redirecting light that falls on an object (such as color reflection or refraction) into your eyeball, or 2). Light emission (e.g. as a result of…

Great light! Extremely programmable

I got this light for a new plant tank project. I'm used to controlling the reef with Aqua Illumination lights and easily programming my own spectrum and schedule. I wanted a light that would give me the same capabilities but for fresh water and at a lower cost. As long as the plants are not in the tank I can already say that this will be a fantastic lamp for me. PROS: As I said, programmability is key to this light. You can set several times a day and then set the spectrum or temperature you…
