I bought a PWR+ 12V netbook charger for my Asus 1000HE in the hope that a better charger would avoid the shortcomings of several standard chargers that I have had for this car in the past. showed. This hope is largely fulfilled with the PWR+ charger. I leave my netbook connected to the charger most of the time. The PWR+ has a longer cable than the standard cable with better quality cables and connectors. It has the same rectangular pin connector but is sized so that the connection is firmer than traditional products and harder to accidentally pull out. Over time, traditional plugs will loosen and the power supply will flicker. which requires a new purchase. This charger actually has an overheat protection circuit. It is known that when the computer needs to fully charge the battery, the charger will reach its heating limit and start cycling on and off. The downside to this is that Asus tells me it switches to battery, charge, and back right in the middle of my work screen, so it's best to do a full charge without using the 1000HE. Filling is fine. The PWR+ charger is a nice improvement over the OEM hardware and worth the small difference in price. The charger reaches its heating limit and starts cycling on and off.
