After using this power supply for about a week I noticed connection problems. Sometimes the AC adapter's blue LED light will illuminate to indicate that it is charging, but the battery indicator icon on the laptop will not. There are some connection issues, I don't know exactly why. I have verified that there are no dangling wires around the connector and that there is no voltage on the charging cable, but there is no way of telling why this is happening and when it is happening.

Used Asus ROG notebook Bought from a neighbor who came with a cheap replacement power supply which always got very hot - the risk of fire was evident when the plastic casing of the power supply began to melt in two places.
