Better than original ASUS power supply!

The original ASUS 120W power adapter that came with my ASUS N56VZ-DS71 laptop broke a few years ago and I immediately replaced it with a 90W universal power adapter. Little did I know then that the replacement's performance wasn't enough to fully satisfy the voracious i7 processor. ASUS says that a 90W adapter comes with the i5 models of this laptop, while the i7 models come with a 120W adapter. I was unaware of this particular detail until my laptop unexpectedly and repeatedly shut down. The…

Big Powerful Brik on Chargers and Adapters

This is a big powerful power supply for my G73. The original consumables that came with the PC were junk, they could last a year. They could last 6 months and were very expensive. The G73 is still a powerful machine and I still love that it gets the job done. Glad to see someone making a power supply to keep this monster running reliably. It looks sturdy and works without getting hot. If it's as good as it looks then it's worth the money. I could buy a cheap one, but generally you get what you…

The power supply that MUST come with your Asus computer!

This is not only a review but also a WARNING about other cheap power adapters. I recently bought a used Asus Eee PC which came with the original power supply/charger. The PC worked perfectly, there were no power problems at first. Then, when I turned it on one day, I noticed that the light in the room was a bit dim. I figured I might be drawing too much power, but the only other thing plugged into the power strip was my clock radio. When connected to an Asus computer, this happened from time to

Well built but defective - occasionally shows connection problems

After using this power supply for about a week I noticed connection problems. Sometimes the AC adapter's blue LED light will illuminate to indicate that it is charging, but the battery indicator icon on the laptop will not. There are some connection issues, I don't know exactly why. I have verified that there are no dangling wires around the connector and that there is no voltage on the charging cable, but there is no way of telling why this is happening and when it is happening.

Quality product: computer and accessories

Used Asus ROG notebook Bought from a neighbor who came with a cheap replacement power supply which always got very hot - the risk of fire was evident when the plastic casing of the power supply began to melt in two places. A PWR+ 180W power supply was purchased, which is physically twice the size of the previous device and does not heat up even under heavy load. Definitely recommend this device over cheaper power supplies.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Long time

Ok looks like I received a different model, this one has 2 different sized tips that are on can be connected to the computer. but the photo shows only 1 tip. also the blue light on the power supply is not lit, in the photo it shows a bright blue light, it looks like all the specs are right, but still 180 watts, 19.5 volts and 9.23 amps so I think that it should work fine. I checked with my multimeter and it seems to be working fine and outputting the right amount of volts so hopefully…

Better Than OEM Chargers

I bought a PWR+ 12V netbook charger for my Asus 1000HE in the hope that a better charger would avoid the shortcomings of several standard chargers that I have had for this car in the past. showed. This hope is largely fulfilled with the PWR+ charger. I leave my netbook connected to the charger most of the time. The PWR+ has a longer cable than the standard cable with better quality cables and connectors. It has the same rectangular pin connector but is sized so that the connection is firmer…
