Review on ROG Gaming Laptop Charger Adapter - πŸ”Œ Power Supply Cord | Laptop Accessories for Asus by Everette Jean

Better than original ASUS power supply!

The original ASUS 120W power adapter that came with my ASUS N56VZ-DS71 laptop broke a few years ago and I immediately replaced it with a 90W universal power adapter. Little did I know then that the replacement's performance wasn't enough to fully satisfy the voracious i7 processor. ASUS says that a 90W adapter comes with the i5 models of this laptop, while the i7 models come with a 120W adapter. I was unaware of this particular detail until my laptop unexpectedly and repeatedly shut down. The way I used my laptop was changing and my tasks were consuming more and more power, and that's where the downsides of the 90W adapter became apparent. . I immediately found that I had to buy a 120w adapter instead of the spare 90w adapter I had. Then I thought, why not use the highest power output I can find that fits into my laptop's DC jack? As long as it's safe and compatible, I'm fine. Included in delivery is an adapter + PWR 180W. When I received the package, I knew immediately that I was holding a quality product in my hands. The packaging was elegant, the "brick" itself was made of very high quality materials. Both the power connector and the DC tab fit snugly and very snugly in their respective holes. I tested the device in very high power tasks when the laptop fans ran very loud. The brick itself, surprisingly, almost did not heat up, and the shutdown problems completely disappeared. I don't mind that the adapter is narrow and bulky; Note that it supports up to 180 watts. My 7 year old laptop's ability to handle extreme tasks is now better (faster) because it's getting all the performance it needs. I have a feeling this is the adapter that was originally supposed to come with my laptop (yes, even instead of the original 120w). I don't know if the laptop actually draws more than 120W with this new adapter, but I'm enjoying the performance boost and stability so far. 5 stars from me! Highly recommend if it's compatible with your laptop!
