Before making my purchase, I went through and read practically all of the customer evaluations; here is the gist of what I found: 1. Sound quality is not on par with that of studio headphones that are full-size and designed for professional use (surprise!). The bass is not a barrel or a bucket full of juice, but it is fairly juicy. The sound quality is far lower than that of home Sennheisers, but listening is still comfortable and enjoyable. The beat in deep house tends to be relatively uninteresting, however this is not a deal breaker. If you listen to it while walking down the street, working, or engaging in some other form of motion, then it's fantastic. It is recommended that you take wired headphones if you plan on sitting at home in complete stillness and listening to every note. The soundproofing is only sufficient; you can still pick up some of the ambient noise from the street. Negative for some, positive for others and myself. When turned on, there is some faint background noise; as far as I can tell, this is the bluetooth radio signal that makes itself known. Just distracting for the first thirty seconds; after that, you hardly really notice it anymore. It is generally believed that Sony is responsible for these bombings because they bomb normally. 2. Ergonomics. They don't slide off the shoulders, the thickenings don't weigh you down, and you can't even tell that they are there because you don't feel them at all. Doing sports comes with risks and might be bothersome at times. Designed to be worn casually. The controls are quite easy to understand and use, and the buttons are large enough to be comfortable. Microphone. 3. My interlocutor hears me, even though there is an echo of my voice from the phone; nonetheless, this does not detract from our conversation; rather, it contributes to it. In general, conversing is more convenient here than elsewhere; nevertheless, in order to protect yourself from the wind, you will need to lock yourself off. 4. Miscellaneous. The battery seems to have about the same life as claimed. The outside appearance is quite uncomplicated. The noises of notifications, which include a female voice and squeaks, do not result in any discomfort. Although it does not appear to be either fragile or durable, the design can be easily shattered in a short amount of time if desired. After reading the evaluations, I was reluctant to take the normal headphones, but in the end, everything turned out to be fine.
