I purchased this cable specifically for in-car use. While it claims to be certified, it doesn't actually work for CarPlay, resulting in frequent communication errors and disconnections, or simply failing to fully recognize the connected phone as a CarPlay device. Also, the material that makes up this cable isn't particularly flexible. . As a result, the twisted portion of the cable does not stretch out easily, making it a very short but unnecessarily bulky cable.
