A few days ago I had a leak in my basement and wanted some peace of mind in case it happens again. I bought this on a whim and decided to give it a try and see how well it works. Worked great for a few days. This worked flawlessly twice when my basement was up and running again. However, I went downstairs to check my dehumidifier and found that both the base station and my dehumidifier were off. It looks like the base station has started to melt and almost caught fire if the outlet hadn't melted first. This product is less than a week old and has already had a catastrophic failure. If you are interested in buying it, pay a little more so you don't have to worry. In addition, the application is somewhat limited and quite simple. Edit: Govee sent me a replacement unit even after Revain refunded my money. about the product and customer service was quite pushy to get my hands on it. I give them credit for doing everything they could to make sure they did their best to make things right. I'm not currently using the unit's base station, but the sensor itself beeps as usual when not connected to a WiFi controller, so I'm using it as a supplement to my current leak sensor. It seems that my device was an exception if they were so keen to give me a replacement, but I still wouldn't dare to buy any other product.
