Review on DAJA Engraving Machine Portable Connect Beading & Jewelry Making by Sasha Hsiao

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Slow but excellent engraving

Yes, it's not enough, but it's enough for most people. I will be making decorations and small items so this is perfect. Nothing to collect, everything is really ready to go. The biggest problem I had was adding a driver as I kept getting an install error. The software is basic, but do yourself a favor and watch some YouTube videos to get used to how it works. The other problem is that you have to figure out what the center of the area is when you etch it in the center. There's a button in the software that centers the laser, but when you then run the range test it seems to move to the left instead of center. So make sure you practice and check things out before you drop the item and ruin it. I've posted a quick sample of the card etching and it's clear and neat. Just make sure you focus the beam before each etch. The other image shows the program and how it displays the etching progress (in red). This small, stand-sized card took over 30 minutes to etch. It's very... very slow. It also gives off a strong smell of burning, so stay in a well-ventilated area. Open a window and place a small table fan directly on it. The built-in fan is not strong enough. You can adjust the contrast and etch depth, so some elements may need more etch depth to penetrate.... test, test, test and always put a thick tray or wooden board underneath, in case the laser is set too high and you go through the object it can happen but it is unlikely. • Not bad, but...
