I have an HP Photosmart c4480 printer and when I use this ink I get an error message saying the ink is not compatible with my printer. I saw someone write about it in the questions about this product and they gave instructions on how it works but it's so annoying because every time I use my printer now I get a bunch of buttons in one must press specific order to make it work. I recommend spending a few extra bucks to deal with ink incompatibilities every time you want to print something. Here's the order if you can't find it in the questions about this product: 1. X + Performance2. Press blue, then green, then grey3. Press blue to go to the information menu4. click OK. Press blue until you get to "Checksum for entering relock data"5. Press OK > A number is displayed. Press OK6. X off.
