When you open the box these headphones speak of quality. Along with the headphones, there was an elegant packaging bag in the box, a user manual and a splitter. The sizing is a little tight, which I like as I mostly use the smallest settings and don't like the headset constantly opening in front of me, especially during use. They won't, which is a big plus. The cushioning is just right for long wear. One of my favorite aspects was the braided cords. My last kit just died because of the cord, this kit will be much more durable. Next sound test: I started with the phone. The sound quality was good, albeit quiet. At first I was worried, but then I realized that the sound shouldn't be that high due to the noise canceling properties. This protects my ears in the long term. On my computer: The audio is louder and has fantastic range. I'm no audio expert, but when playing certain games I need to distinguish between sounds "behind" me, near or far, and this headset did it perfectly. They have fantastic treble/bass balance and a solid mid-range sound. Also, in an orchestral piece, I can hear different instruments clearly without one part dominating or drowning out another. Next test, microphone: For my next test, I called a family member via video link to check the quality. I was told in crystal clear, and the sounds my kids made from their dad (and the TV in the other room) were very faint or non-existent. I liked that they can be loud, but I still want to be heard. I wasn't screaming, I was just talking, and it didn't sound tinny or digital. As a woman, this can be more difficult with a microphone. Next test: long-term comfort. I spoke to them for 2 hours. No complaints in the ears or on the head. It feels like they were made for me. I will have no problem playing the game for some time or making long phone calls. Pros: - The noise canceling feature is amazing at this price point. - The sound quality is everything I expect from a headset. - The microphone quality is fantastic. - High quality touches. everywhere (braided cords, splinters included, quality padding). Cons: - I would like an option without the LED/USB part. I have a limited number of USB sockets so I will never use these. However, this is not the deciding factor and some people might even like this feature. The microphone/volume control on the cable seems to be a bit inferior in quality or design. The mic button "slips" easily, so I'm a little concerned that it might turn off if I don't want it to. The volume wheel feels more fragile, so I'm concerned about strength/durability. This is not a problem either. Conclusion: I like them and would recommend them to anyone who wants good sound quality at a great price. The quality of the noise-cancellation is also much better than you would expect at this price point. Very happy with my purchase and would buy again.
