I read the reviews on it and thought it was a good buy. The price was nice but that's all I liked. Right out of the box I noticed the manufacturer's cap was loose. I looked past that and thought maybe it was ok for this brand (I've only had the ones that came close so far) but then I tried making waffles. The first attempt baked in the center, but the edge turned out to be mushy. On the second try at a lower temperature, almost the entire waffle was moist. I turned it all the way around, the center was dark, and when I opened the lid the waffle stretched in half. I followed the instructions, cooking them longer, shorter and at different temperatures. I even tried different batters to make sure it wasn't the problem. Still wet at the edge. Maybe I got a defective one, but I didn't want to try another one. Sent it back for a different brand.
