Have only been using it for a few weeks. My original joysticks were a bit worn and torn. **They work great**. We recommend watching some videos on how to disassemble the PS4 controller as there are some tricky steps (initial disassembly of the case and basically the springs on the L/R 2 buttons) to get them. It takes about 10-30 minutes unless you lose the spring or reassemble it incorrectly (some internal connections are very flimsy and tiny pull/compress strap connections). I can't compare them to the "new" PS4 controller, but due to the length of my old joysticks, they don't seem to be 100% exact replacements for original/OEM PS4 dual thumb sticks. My originals were more "rubber" and softer, which *possibly* is the result of long use, sweat, etc. IMHO: All small differences are improvements. The only noticeable differences I saw were: 1. The upper is covered in a slightly harder rubber (size, color, fit etc looked the same. Not sure about the texture of the upper as my old ones were smooth ). The harder rubber is actually a bonus for me as I have previously had issues with the KontrolFreek Ultra thumb extensions popping out. With the slightly stiffer rubber on these replacement racquets (and the new texture/no wear as a bonus) my extensions stay in place. Harder rubber (or just new?) is no problem for me when playing (no thumb slipping, etc.).2. The "rounded edge" of the embroidery tip is stiffer than my worn originals. This is a bonus when using KontrolFreek extensions as they have a better grip. They appear less "soft" than my originals. They seem to be more durable so they're probably less likely to tear at the edges than my originals because they were soft. Just to be clear, the rubber is a little stiffer, not stiffer.3. Maybe the textures on them are slightly different from the originals. I actually like it better as it seems like they will last longer before becoming smooth.
