I've been using this toaster for about 3 months and I'm completely satisfied with it. It heats up quickly, tans evenly and cools down fairly quickly after use. The exterior is all metal so the plastic doesn't melt like other toasters in this price range. The cord is long enough to reach the outlet and not have the hot side against the wall. The crumb tray is fairly shallow but rarely holds much, although we check it after each use, and it's fully removable if you need to wipe something down (unplug first). Especially useful is the extra space at the top of the slot, where the button you press to toast is located. This is great when you have bread with small slices that don't protrude from the toast chamber when done and pop out - just press the button a little and you can grab the top edge of the toast. All corners are rounded so your fingers won't get caught in seams when you need to move it or wipe it (always unplug first). I really like the knob setting, I find setting #3 fine for me. I haven't used the CANCEL, BADGEL, or DEFROST settings yet, but I'm glad they do. Some thought went into this toaster and for me it was worth the price I paid. Much better than any toasters I've bought locally.
