Poor quality pigments
From time to time I use budget pencils for coloring and chose this set, focusing on the unique appearance and reviews. I can't say I'm disappointed. These pens have a decent range of colors but the lead is pretty hard and not in a good way. The pigment charge is really bad unless you're a very bossy person and I'm not. They don't layer or blend, which is a total disappointment. There is nothing oily or creamy about these pens. These pens have a terrible sheen, this is not a wax coating but a sign of an inferior core. I would not recommend them for the above reasons, even for coloring.
