Good front, nifty back

Replacing an old wall clock with a new one I should be able to reuse a wall hook. It will not work. This watch included a catch not really different from the one I had but didn't work. After scratching my freshly painted wall and cursing the storm, the hole to attach the clock to the wall remains elusive. Put simply, Design-Hang stinks! Stink! Stink!
