Review on Rockport Mens Eureka Walking Brown Men's Shoes and Athletic by Jeff Rhodes

I've been buying this Rockport shoe for a decade now. Each pair lasts about two years as I wear them to work every day and they were extremely comfortable from the start with soft leather and a very supportive insole and outsole. Last week I went to buy a pair and found that nobody in my area wears them anymore. Then I ordered a pair online and found out why - they are NOT the same shoes. The skin was thinner and tougher, causing painful pressure on the arthritic toe joints. The sole feels cheap and doesn't look like it will last very long. The finish of the shoe looks cheap and the upper was the worst. It looked like someone saw the pair one day and tried to make a fake on a budget of around $10 (and I wouldn't pay that much for it!). I ordered 8EE which I wear all these 10 years. , but they were slightly smaller than usual (I was able to wear them outside of the store without breaking in). I don't buy Rockports anymore. Was looking for someone who makes quality shoes. Too bad because it was the most comfortable shoe I've ever had, including countless hiking shoes, heels, sneakers and even my Nike sandals which will probably be on my feet when I die.
