Review on ๐ŸŽง Sony Noise Cancelling Headphones (MDRNC22/Black) by Colleen Jackson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works better than expected

I bought these to wear to work on a very noisy tractor. The audio range they cancel is designed to roughly match engine noise, and it works very well at those frequencies. The engine noise is almost gone and I can hear the iPod perfectly at a reasonable volume. The headphones fit well and are comfortable. It's better than the more traditional earbuds I've tried: they won't interfere with a pair of sunglasses or a hat, and they stay in place. The cable runs on the left side, which can be annoying for left-handers. This is not specified in the specifications. The noise-cancelling battery sits on a fairly long cable, but it could be a bit longer. It comes about at belt height and can be clipped to the belt or waistband of pants (ie worn at normal height). But I wish I could put it in my pocket with my iPod. The sound quality for music is ok. I haven't tried audio books yet.

Pros
  • Mute monitor and temporarily disable Nc
Cons
  • Nothing here
