The box had to be sealed with tape because it was too thin and not strong. The area for a cat to scratch its claws is the same as any other product, but the box that wraps around this particular product is too flimsy, too loose, and disappointing. I wanted to get rid of my current boxes which are a little bigger and more sophisticated which I taped to them after hard wearing but they are less durable than the ones I already have. So they're sitting in the closet, just wrapped in blue tape on the outside to tighten the corners, and I don't know if I'll ever use them. Basically wasted money.
