Cheap Surge Protector

Pros: The surge protector was well packaged and protected. It has a convenient corner position of the socket; See photo. The device is lightweight and very affordable. So far, so good. As seen in the other photo, the unit has slots on the bottom in case you want to hang it on the wall or elsewhere with 2 nails. Cons: This surge protector is very lightweight in a plastic/rubber package. It attracts dust. So far I've only used light electronics (cellphones and Bluetooth chargers) on this surge suppressor. One annoyance I had (which other users have commented on) is that there is no light to indicate that the surge protector is actually on. You need to look at your device to see if it's charging or powered. I don't like that there's no display because sometimes I just plug my device into a surge protector and leave, only to find out later that the power button wasn't on. It worries me a little if there is an occasional smell of "burnt electronics", but this can only be related to the device's power supply. CONCLUSION: You get what you pay for.

Pros
  • Power Strips & Surge Protectors
Cons
  • Crumpled Packaging
