My husband uses it for coffee, but it can also be used for loose tea or any other beverage that needs filtering before drinking. cute - both the quality and price are good, but we use giant coffee cups, so another 1-1.5 inch length would make it perfect for us. Comes with a small drawstring pouch and several cleaning brushes. I wish they (and everyone else) skip the packets. Nobody needs a bundle with everything they buy. I consider it a waste.
