I'm surprised by the feedback from those who rate this system highly, as I've had terrible experiences with it in more ways than one. I'm curious if anyone keeps an eye on the updates. The initial setup is more complicated than it should be as each camera has both a pigtail/connector for the power cable and an additional pigtail with a push button to reset the wireless connection. They should not be left outside the car - they are not protected from the elements, and the power connector softens in the sun and can be easily disconnected. To protect them in the car, you need to drill a much larger hole than for a wire. I have installed many professional products (automotive, household, industrial) and in this case the design is uselessly disappointing. The seller responded to an installation email within 48 hours but was ambiguous when asked. The same email also stated that they would send a suction cup mount if requested, but it was never delivered. I bought this kit to assemble a 17ft hard wall caravan. Mounting brackets do not allow mounting to the sides of a rear-facing trailer, so additional 90 degree brackets are required if you require this. (The main unit lets you flip the image, but not rotate it.) The true rear-facing camera is incredibly sensitive to headlight glare or sunsets, and unlike some reviewers, I found the image to be mediocre in low light. . That device also failed completely, so maybe these other problems were steps in that direction. Already on the first flight we realized that the equipment left us in the lurch. The units had power, but two of the three cameras failed within 72 hours. I replaced one with the fourth camera in the kit but the replacement is now the only one that works reliably. I have since contacted the seller for a replacement or refund and will update this post accordingly.
