I've used the coffee bag over a dozen times. It makes good coffee, not as soft and transparent as a paper filter, but almost all the sediment settles at the bottom of the carafe. The carafe reminds me of a mug. Beautiful design but fragile. Try not to be awkward with him. It's so easy to clean and I don't notice any clogging or build up on the cone after many uses. Added later: I still love and use this cone and decanter on a daily basis. Now I use a paper filter that makes the coffee more transparent. I also found another jar at a thrift store that is almost identical to the original as a backup and just in case I want to make some jars. It's a pleasure to use.
