First of all, these are very comfortable shoes. First pair of Nikes for my youngest daughter. However, I am shocked by the poor workmanship and materials. I've been buying children's shoes for years and this pair fell apart very quickly, faster than any other shoe we've tried. It's also the most expensive shoe we've ever bought directly from Nike. The photos show everything, the degree of wear after 3 months. The holes in the top of the toes started to develop in less than a month. But what surprised me the most was the wear and tear on the soles of the shoes. This is really sad for a global brand like Nike. We bought a lot of New Balance and I thought they wore out pretty quickly but it was 3x faster. The shoes were used to wear to school and that's it. My daughter is not an athlete and does not play outside except during breaks. The funny thing is that my eldest daughter bought cheap Target sneakers the same day because she couldn't find a pair of Nikes that fit her. I was disappointed to have to resort to Target shoes which I felt were poor quality but these shoes are in excellent condition and have lasted much longer. That's a great lesson - just because you have a famous brand like Nike doesn't mean they make the best shoes. I went to the Nike store to ask them if I should expect this and the manager was very defensive (I was quiet and just asked the question) and they said it was because of "excessive wear and tear". He repeated this sentence to me over and over again. I then tried calling the Nike hotline because he gave me their number and I couldn't get through after six rings. My goal wasn't to complain but to give them feedback because I think it's important. At the moment our expectations for Nike shoes for kids are very, very low. I think you should be very careful when buying these kids shoes if you are expecting a bargain.
