It's a bit stiff and needs breaking in. Looks beautiful. Black leather looks good on my auburn bulldog. He'll get used to it. The skin seems to be sufficient. The stitching is as you would expect on a dog collar. It was difficult to dress my dog because he is stiff and he was curious and squirming. All in all it looks very nice. 1 inch doesn't look too big or too small to him. He weighs 80 pounds and has a thick, muscular neck. This is a strong dog but very gentle with people so I don't need anything that gives him maximum control. It feels like I'll ever have to "control" him, I could. I trust my dog as much as I trust the collar. He is a companion who helps me take care of the household and nothing more. If you feel like your big strong dog is pulling on the leash or "chasing" things. Squirrels, lizards, skateboards, couriers. You may want a wider style. 1.5 inches or more. It's all about personality and how well they respond to you. My dog used to pull me for things, but not with a huge burst of power. I think this collar is suitable for my needs. I like it a lot.This black leather collar is not studded or studded. That's really not the atmosphere I want to create with my dog. He is outgoing and loves children. This collar keeps it friendly.
