Bought for bedroom 2.5 years ago. That has always worked well. It works semi-continuously. The pump runs very quietly, so you can enjoy the sound of running water. Sometimes we use small tea lights. Every week we fill it with distilled water and a drop of algae-killing chemicals. We clean it once a year, some bleach and CLR on the bowl only, mild detergent with a toothbrush on the tower parts and pump. We bleach the stones separately. We noticed that a significant amount of paint was beginning to peel off. This year, let's improve the airplane model a little bit, and we hope that this fountain will be in service for a few more years.
