You need 2 per motor. These new covers are expensive for what they are but cheaper than the Volvo brand. Compared to original Volvo covers, these covers have a thick rubber coating around the edges, making them slightly wider and more difficult to fit. I ended up reusing one of the original Volvo covers, flattening it with a hammer, rubbing down with brake cleaner to remove the grease, then covering the center hole with a round piece of aluminum tape. The center hole that needs to be made if you need to remove the lid makes these lids disposable. But if you are careful not to make the hole too big and unsightly you can cover it with a large piece of metal tape trimmed to make it look nice. And you can do it again and save some money on those expensive cases. Reuse and save.
