If you usually wear a large size, order medium unless you want a little baggy. This is not a tight shirt that shows all its "back streets". It fits well but looks lovely when the ruffles are pulled down the sides. This makes the shirt a little shorter, but actually slimmer and conceals a slight bulge on the stomach. Very nice shirt - I ordered it in white and it's a little see-through when wet. The zip at the neckline can be worn open or closed. After wearing it I ordered another one in navy blue.
