Not as good as I thought.

Okay this is a really good cut on aluminum but on harder metals it still wobbles occasionally and the bit pops out. It's very well made, but could be stronger.

The splitting tool that works!

I finally found a splitting tool that I like. I've bought countless tools over the years and this one cuts straight and fast. I had to make a large number of hardened steel inserts and they worked perfectly.

Very affordable and with commonly used inserts

This parting and grooving tool is a great addition to my microshop. It is very powerful and has a long range for larger diameter cartridges. I've used it to easily cut Delrin, aluminum, brass and stainless steel alloys. I'm sure it will work well with many other materials as well.
