I've had Polk speakers before. They were expensive, got good marks and sounded good. I couldn't give them the power I wanted wanted so I bought them after doing a lot of research. HUGE difference in sound quality and volume! It was like my system fell asleep and these JBLs woke it up! They can handle way more RMS power than anything else in this price range .The midrange is solid and stiff and produces good bass for its size.The tweeter is tiny but it produces more sound than the 3" Skar tweeters I've paired with. And the high frequencies are at high too Volumes crystal clear Difficult to get distortion out of these speakers Best 6.5" speaker for the money. The component is the path. And I have no complaints about the GTO 929 6x9 and the JBL Stadium amp I use them on. You will not regret buying this JBL product. Sometimes a brand name really means something.
