I can't say anything about objective sound quality, but there are experimental tests online which show it to be top-notch. This is probably the best DAC at this price point.Subjective-wise, I find the quality to be amazing. Sound is crystal clear. The DAC packs amazing features: front panel with cool orange color that shows the current audio format and sample rate, supports 32-bit audio up to 384 Khz, 32-bit hardware-level volume control for maximum accuracy.I am using this as a desktop DAC with Windows 10. I recommend installing the driver. This way, when you use Window's volume control, it will actually modify the volume at the hardware level, via the driver. I know this to be the case because, if you are playing music via WASAPI, Windows volume control actually affects the playback volume, which hasn't happened to me before with other DACs. Also, you can see the volume being modified in the driver's control panel (which is hardware level).
