I have been looking for a better audio device to make hands-free calls with the hands-free function. I was interested in trying not one, but four built-in mics! So you can put it at any angle and it will pick up your 360 degree voice equally well at a certain distance. The first thing to note is that it has a good quality speaker at the top which is much louder and clearer than most cell phones or even my regular speakerphone cordless phones. However, when it comes to the receiver's experience with this device, I found the mics only marginally clearer than my Samsung J7 mic in hands-free mode. The mics have a decent range with clear audio pickup up to around 6-7 feet, but beyond that the audio is very harsh and reverberant. I've also noticed that when the fans or air conditioning are running, this wind/engine noise will still be picked up, but I think it will be difficult to find a microphone that can completely filter out such background noise, especially if you are at a greater distance from the Device. Depending on the volume, I found that the battery drained quite quickly and could not last 8 hours at maximum volume when fully charged. I've tried using this in a car but depending on the car the volume may not be high enough to hear clearly and the background noise from the car may not be filtered out well for the receiver. The device comes with a USB-C charging port and cable, so you will need to use this type of cable for charging. Pairing a device is very easy and usually connects to the last paired device. I had no problems using the device with other calling apps like Skype or Whatsapp. It's usually easy to switch apps from Bluetooth back to the phone when needed. At under $50, it's not as good on the mic side as I was hoping, but I like its small size and portability, and a nice, clear speaker. If the microphone quality and battery life were better I would give it a 5.
