Received this as a gift for my sister who has complained that the skin or part skin is too hot to touch when the interior of the car starts to bake in the hot sun and reaches 100+ degrees Fahrenheit inside to heat up the steering wheel. it was soft and had two notches for the hands. So when installed correctly and not slipping, it has room for your hands at 10 and 2 (i.e. the o'clock position). However, if you look inside, there was an inner rubber ring (helps with traction I assume) that looked like a bike tire with suede wrapped around it. Suede may come off when attempting to sit on the steering wheel. It is not soft and will not fit all handlebars of the same size as it has a hard round shape. if the handlebar is smaller, it slips, if it is larger, this can become a problem because the non-slip rubber inner lining prevents you from sitting down. I know this because the sister this gift was for got a new car, from a small sedan to an SUV. Another problem was that it has a seam and where the ends meet it creates a bulge forming an inner ring. Everything looks fine for the most part, but every time I drive in her car, I see this unsightly bump. She hasn't complained about the bulge as she says it's "very functional" as it protects her hands from burns or the steering wheel from wear and tear from constant rubbing with her hands.
