This gate is EXACTLY what we needed! We have a 3.5 lb. puppy who loves to run around and pull, chew, or scratch on everything in her path (we start puppy training classes next week, YAAAAAY!). We both work from home, Hubby in the office, I at the kitchen table—and don't want her crated all day. The office is too small for her to spend much time in while he's working and the kitchen opens to the living room, hallway, etc. and is too large an area for me to monitor while getting my work done.We've also had issues with our puppy scratching and chewing at the carpet where it meets the kitchen tile. This gate allows me to section off the kitchen area so she has ample room to play yet nothing to scratch, bite, chew, etc. It makes it much more manageable to monitor her while actually getting work done!The gate is lovely. It came fully-assembled, all I had to do was add the hardware for the locks (I'm not handy and it took me 5 minutes). The construction is sturdy and the wires/bars seem thick enough to withstand any puppy-chewing jailbreak attempts.The feature that truly stands out for us is the DOOR! Hubby has a balance issue and stepping over the gate could cause a fall. With the door, no worries. He just unlocks and opens it, then can easily walk through without risk of falling.The support feet make me feel confident about it staying upright and in place. So far, our puppy has jumped on it without issue. The look on her face is hysterical as she simply cannot get through this gate by force or by squeezing through.I highly recommend this gate for SMALL to Medium dogs.
