UPDATE. Eventually I received an email with instructions to follow and my watch started working. I don't know why they don't post them anywhere. I hope people can find them in this review. BY TIMEX The synchronization process is very delicate. In many cases, performance will be severely impacted during sync if the clock battery is dead. It is recommended that when performing the synchronization, there are no Bluetooth-enabled devices nearby that could interfere with the process. Please follow the troubleshooting steps. Please forget or remove any devices previously connected to your phone first. Bluetooth device. Delete old apps. Turn off WiFi. Turn off your cell phone. Wait 5-10 seconds and then turn it on. Reinstall the new Timex Connected app on your phone, restart your watch and follow the pairing steps in the Timex Connected app to complete the syncing process. Follow these steps to reset your watch. :1) Pull out the crown and wait 4 seconds 2) Push in the crown and wait 2 seconds 3) Pull out the crown and wait 4 seconds 4) Push in the crown and wait 2 seconds 5) Pull crown out and wait 4 seconds 6) Push in crown and wait 4 seconds, wait 2 seconds 7) Pull crown out and wait 9 seconds then push back in and hold crown about Press and hold for 10 seconds when prompted by the app, until you hear the sync melody. Complete the syncing process according to the phone's instructions. Please note that to avoid "timeouts", please do not push the stem of the watch forward until your phone prompts you to start pairing or syncing the watch. *Please note that your saved data on the watch will be lost in the process.
