To be honest, there aren't any very good reviews for this product, which made me very reluctant to buy it. However, after going through all the options on Revain and other vanity sites, I settled on this one. I wish I could give this vanity set more than five stars. I'm 29 years old, 5'2 and 198 pounds. I can sit on the dressing table with no problems. It doesn't swing straight. I assembled it myself and while it was a bit of a hassle screwing the chair base into the padded table top, that's only because it took a little more strength than I'm used to. The instructions were easy to follow (although I first placed the vanity mirror support pieces back to front - it was easy to tell when trying to place it on the vanity top as the pieces didn't line up very well. Even that was easy to fix. I just unscrewed the fasteners, flipped and done.), but I did it a little differently. stand up straight I found it very difficult to even align the pins when this was the case and I NEVER had the strength to screw into the padding nor drop the screw in my face. I turned the base and seat upside down and screwed them right side down, making sure to tighten the screws as tight as I could without damaging the wood on the base. I accidentally snapped one of the screws in half, but I think it was my own fault - I probably didn't fit them perfectly in the hole. Everything was perfectly finished and fully protected by styrofoam. He came when he said he would. It had no missing parts. It was easy to put together (and I'm not a very practical girl). I've used it several times and haven't had any problems. Being blind without glasses, I bought a separate lighted mirror from SKON with a 7x magnifier to do my makeup. This is probably the only downside - the mirror is too far away, but that would be a problem for ANY vanity and it's not vanity's fault. I would post pictures but I have them on my phone. I'll try to upload it later. For those in doubt based on negative reviews, try this set! I'm picky and I love it!
