It's definitely not warm. I thought it would be good for carrying apples etc to my hunting ground. The problem is comfort. Unfortunately, my uniform doesn't allow me to carry a bucket on my back (6'4", 200 pounds). If the straps aren't tight, the bucket will want to tip backwards because the bottom of the bucket is on my back. If he falls over, he pulls the chest strap over his throat. It's no good and it can't be moved. So maybe someone else will be ok. Or wrap a 6" foam collar around the bottom edge to keep it straight hold up?Maybe that's why backpacks slip out at the hips.
