Thanks to My Hands!: Camping and Hiking

I've been carrying buckets of corn to wild feed for two years and had to do multiple trails because I didn't have enough hands. It just freed my hands. So far I've given it 5 stars for ease of installation, stitch quality, comfort and how well it holds an empty bucket. The ultimate test will be resilience. It claims 40 pounds, I just loaded it with about 37 pounds of corn and it felt strong and solid. The bottom of the bucket hurt my back a bit, but I think I need to adjust the straps a bit.

Pros
  • Good product for the price

  • Annoying

not suitable to carry a 5 gallon pail of water

Purchased to carry a 5 gallon pail of water a considerable distance through the woods to our grazing sheep. Due to the backpack's construction, namely the fact that the back padding doesn't reach up to the five-gallon bucket, a full bucket painfully digs into your lower back, making it even more painful to use than it would be to carry a full five -Gallon bucket by hand after the plastic handguard snaps off (you know when it bites calluses/palms). Very disappointed as our family was really…

The quality of the Velcro material of the backpack.⭐×5The back of the backpack is too short.⭐×2The back needs to be made longer, an extra thick pad or with a belt will be fine, like that that the bucket with the load, the top part does not come out, causing the bottom bucket to push inward and hurt the user's back. I load 8-10kg of fishing gear into my 5 gallon bucket with this backpack, base under my back while resting and poking the kidney line in my lower back causing pain and blisters…

Not for me. Camping and hiking

It's definitely not warm. I thought it would be good for carrying apples etc to my hunting ground. The problem is comfort. Unfortunately, my uniform doesn't allow me to carry a bucket on my back (6'4", 200 pounds). If the straps aren't tight, the bucket will want to tip backwards because the bottom of the bucket is on my back. If he falls over, he pulls the chest strap over his throat. It's no good and it can't be moved. So maybe someone else will be ok. Or wrap a 6" foam collar around the…

Great idea, bad execution.

I was so excited to get this tether for my 5 gallon bucket that I stashed my geology field tools in it. Unfortunately, this suspension sucks, especially for big guys like me. The straps are too short and the 5 gallon bucket sits too high on the back, dangling all over the place. the straps also start to tear and are not overloaded at all. The heavy stuff in my bucket is a small hand pick and a small hammer. It doesn't appear to be of poor quality, but it shouldn't tear with my small load. I…
