Review on Quest Totem Longboard Skateboard Natural by Aaron Collins

Good board for beginners

The hype and the cool pictures surrounding longboarding got me interested in this sport. I was a little confused by the prices of the boards in stores and wanted to find something that wouldn't break the bank if I don't like the sport. Sign in to Quest. With their many options including this mid-length board at an affordable price, I gave it a try. This board comes clean and new out of the box. It is wrapped in plastic and attached to the truck with tags. They come with a foam block around the truck and fit the wheel to prevent it from rolling in the box and getting damaged. Removing the block is not easy and if you are not careful you can damage the wheel. It hurt a little, but I got through it. There is a quest sticker on the label that you can put on a plaque, sign or whatever. For a ride, being a complete noob, I found it a bit sketchy. Imagine movies or cartoons where someone puts one foot on a skateboard and lands on their back. It rolls smoothly and quickly when you put weight on it. However, if you take a board and turn the wheels by hand, the quality of the bearings is questionable. Some roll gently and slowly to a stop, while others come to an abrupt stop. Wasn't a big fan of it. After a few miles of easy riding and a comfortable ride on the board, it's holding up well. The wheels will darken fairly quickly, even on the cleanest of roads. The deck's upper collects and keeps dirt off your shoes. But not more than expected. The wheel bearings never seem to come loose. Meanwhile, the trucks felt too loose at first, but I got used to it. Be prepared to scratch the board a bit. However, the board itself is the best part of the entire build. It has a cool design, nice finish, and relatively good resistance to bumps, scratches, and dents. Overall this is a great board for the money but far from a professional board.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...
