Gonex Cruiser Skateboard Complete for Beginners Review

Bought this for our 14 year old daughter's birthday when she first started skating. At first it wasn't fast at all, but after a bit of use things relaxed and it moved at normal speed! It flexes a bit under their weight, but we had no issues with it. Great for beginners!

I'm a beginner but I know that while boards don't go perfectly straight, they need to be able to turn or balance. I even loosened and tightened the carts a few times to fix it. Ghost turning is a problem for penny cruisers. Could be a broken axle or something. The rest of the deck itself is fine. Appearance is nice and clean.

I bought a skateboard for my six year old girl and she loves it. Looks and colors are great. However, when she uses it, it keeps tilting to the left, and I don't know why. I think the screws are too tight or something, so it's probably a manufacturing defect. That's the only problem I have with this skateboard.

I found it at such a great price I just couldn't do without it. It's never too early to start Christmas shopping and my little girl will be so excited on Christmas morning. The colors are right up her style as she is still a girly girl but she loves to play outside and asked to try skateboarding and it is right her size!

Ideal for beginners. My 8 year old daughter wanted to use her older sister's board but the small, fast wheels made it difficult to use, especially outdoors. This penny board has large rubber wheels that are more resistant to rocks and bumps. Hard wheels also prevent the board from flying out underneath. She started doing it within minutes. The board was strong enough for its weight in the middle but needed my adult weight to stay over the wheels where they had more support.

This is a great little skateboard. Another review said the wheels don't move very well/quickly. But that's the essence of a beginner skateboard, and that's exactly what they're perfect for. The wheels move a little slower to give beginners better control. At first I doubted it was plastic but when it arrived I found it to be very durable and the bars underneath make it quite durable. My kids are great at it. They're 8 and 6 and I think that's a good size for them.

The decorative finish has been scraped where the plastic has cracked during storage and transport. And as you can see in the fourth photo, the coating doesn't even reach the edge of the diamond pattern on the top of the board. I unwrapped the plastic to have ready for my daughter for Christmas and had to give it to her as is. I don't expect something at this price to last long considering how it's used, but it would be nice if it wasn't of such poor quality that simply removing the plastic…

I didn't read carefully at all so technically this review is mostly my fault because I bought it for my 9 year old thinking it was a huge one Adult board which was epic and she would have been delighted but through my own error I didn't see where '3+' said. So when I opened the box, to my great disappointment, I received ten tiny mini skateboards. which will be boxed and given to my youngest daughter who is now 3 years old so all is not lost. My college daughter bought this device but I couldn't help but try it too. We both liked it! Very colorful and durable construction. The wheels are particularly good - wide and smooth. As good as anything I've seen on the market. The board is relatively small and very easy to transport. The roll speed is good for beginners and it spins easily.
