EDIT 2021: I have reordered a pack of 6 QEP sponges. The new sponges are made in Thailand, are hard and have a rough surface. Of course they can't be washed. more cars. These QEP sponges are made in Germany and packaged in the USA. It may sound crazy, but these sponges are nothing like your regular sponges. You pass the CD test. They are easy to clean and will not scratch the clear coat. Do a search and you will find that the best auto wreckers use them to wash their cars with the Grit Guard 2 bucket method. It all depends on personal preference which one you use. Both work equally well. I've seen people use the same sponge for hundreds of car washes. It is the most economical and safest car wash tool.
