Bought a set of 3 QEP sponges for renovating bathroom floors (16" x 16" travertine, 1/16" pitch). Compared to most cellulose sponges, they have much smaller pores and are not as absorbent. quite dense but soft sponges for hands. They are sold as grout sponges. However, if manufacturers decided to cut up a few smaller towels and sell them as kitchen sponges, anyone making and selling cellulose kitchen sponges would go broke. I bet they would make BIG sponge mops too if cut into this shape. I bought these when I was frustrated looking for CHEAP cellulose kitchen sponges about 6 months ago…
